CELEBRATION OF CHRISTMAS BY A MUSLIM IS HARRAM

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islaam!

It is Haraam for you to celebrate at the time of Christmas and decorate your house with balloons.
It is well known that the Muslims do not have any festival apart from Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and the weekly “Eid” which is Friday (Yawm al-Jumu‘ah).

Celebrating any other festival is not allowed and is either of two things:
Either it is an innovation (bid‘ah), if it is celebrated as a means of drawing close to Allaah, such as celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid); or it is an imitation of the kuffaar, if it is celebrated as a tradition and not as an act of worship, because introducing innovated festivals is the action of the people of the Book who we are commanded to differ from.

So how about if it is a celebration of one of their actual festivals?
Decorating the house with balloons at this time is obviously joining in with the kuffaar and celebrating their festival.

What the Muslim is required to do is not to single out these days for any kind of celebration, decorating or adornment, or special foods, otherwise he will be joining the kuffaar in their festivals, which is something that is undoubtedly haraam.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
It is forbidden for the Muslims to imitate the kuffaar by holding parties on these occasions, or exchanging gifts, or distributing sweets or other foods, or taking time off work and so on.
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
“Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said:
Imitating them on some of their festivals implies that one is happy with the falsehood they are following, and that could make them (the non-Muslims) take this opportunity to mislead those who are weak in faith.

Those who do any of these things are sinning, whether they do it to go along with them, or to be friendly towards them, or because they feel too shy (to refuse to join in) or any other reason.
Because it is a kind of compromising the religion of Allaah to please others, and it is a means of lifting the spirits of the kuffaar and making them proud of their religion.

We ask Allaah to make Us feel proud of our religion (Islaam) and to help Us adhere steadfastly to it.

WHO IS MUHAMMAD?

Who Is the Prophet Muhammad ?

Muhammad was born in Makkah in the year 570. Since his father died before his birth and his mother died shortly thereafter, he was raised by his uncle who was from the respected tribe of Quraysh. He was raised illiterate, unable to read or write, and remained so till his death. His people, before his mission as a prophet, were ignorant of science and most of them were illiterate. As he grew up, he became known to be truthful, honest, trustworthy, generous, and sincere. He was so trustworthy that they called him the Trustworthy.1 Muhammad was very religious, and he had long detested the decadence and idolatry of his society.

The Prophet Muhammad’s Mosque in Madinah.

At the age of forty, Muhammad received his first revelation from God through the Angel Gabriel. The revelations continued for twenty-three years, and they are collectively known as the Quran.

As soon as he began to recite the Quran and to preach the truth which God had revealed to him, he and his small group of followers suffered persecution from unbelievers. The persecution grew so fierce that in the year 622 God gave them the command to emigrate. This emigration from Makkah to the city of Madinah, some 260 miles to the north, marks the beginning of the Muslim calendar.

After several years, Muhammad and his followers were able to return to Makkah, where they forgave their enemies. Before Muhammad died, at the age of sixty-three, the greater part of the Arabian Peninsula had become Muslim, and within a century of his death, Islam had spread to Spain in the West and as far East as China. Among the reasons for the rapid and peaceful spread of Islam was the truth and clarity of its doctrine. Islam calls for faith in only one God, Who is the only one worthy of worship.

The Prophet Muhammad was a perfect example of an honest, just, merciful, compassionate, truthful, and brave human being. Though he was a man, he was far removed from all evil characteristics and strove solely for the sake of God and His reward in the Hereafter. Moreover, in all his actions and dealings, he was ever mindful and fearful of God.

ARTICLE ON CONFLICT BETWEEN SHI'A AND THE SUNNI

by Yaroslav Trofimov
The conflict raging between Sunnis and Shiites across the Muslim world is easy to view
as eternal hatred that is destined to keep claiming lives for the foreseeable future.
Yet despite its ancient roots, the divide hasn’t been this deep or bloody for centuries.
And it is only in recent years that it has emerged as the biggest fault line in the battle
for dominance in the Middle East and beyond.
People age 40 and over in countries such as Saudi Arabia or Pakistan still remember
when they didn’t know—and didn’t particularly care—whether their neighbors and co-
workers were Sunni or Shiite.
“The differences between groups in Islam have always existed, but it is only when you
mix them with politics that it becomes really dangerous—dangerous like an atomic
bomb,” said Ihsan Bu-Huleiga, a Saudi economist who as a member of the kingdom’s
appointed legislature in 1996-2009 was one of the few members of its Shiite minority
to hold a prominent political position.

Indeed, from Yemen to Iraq and Syria to Bahrain, most of the wars and political
conflicts in the region today pit Sunnis against Shiites . They aren’t, however, over who
was the rightful successor to the Prophet Muhammad, the root of the original schism.
Rather, they are fought for political and economic sway within these countries and in the
broader Middle East.

“Sectarian tools are used in these struggles because they have greater impact,”
explained one of Lebanon’s most senior Shiite clerics, Seyed Ali Fadlullah. “If you were
to call upon people now to fight for a regional or international influence, they won’t act.
But people will act when it is said that your sect is under threat, or that your sanctities
are going to be destroyed.”

This transformation of the Sunni-Shiite struggle dates to the 1979 Iranian revolution and
its aftermath, when conservative regimes in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, faced with
Tehran’s claim to lead Muslims world-wide, responded by challenging the Islamic
credentials of Shiite ayatollahs.

The rivalry gained a new impetus with the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, which empowered
majority Shiites at the expense of the Arab Sunni minority that had ruled the country
since independence. The militant group that eventually came to be known as Islamic
State was born in the upheaval that ensued and took anti-Shiite zeal to new heights.

Hatred then reached genocidal levels after civil war erupted in Syria in 2011, with
an expanding Islamic State refusing to recognize Shiites as Muslims and giving them a
grim choice of conversion or death.

These sectarian alignments have been crystallized in the current war in Yemen , too, with
Saudi Arabia assembling a coalition of Sunni nations against the pro-Iranian Houthi
rebels, who adhere to a strain of Shiite Islam.

“Until the war, there has been a sense that Iran was encircling Saudi Arabia, that this
Shiite revival is occurring at the expense of the Sunnis,” said Saleh al Khathlan, a
professor of political science at King Saud University in Riyadh and vice chairman of the
country’s National Society for Human Rights. “It was no longer a Shiite crescent but a
Shiite circle.”

Sunnis account for some 90% of the 1.6 billion Muslims world-wide and have been the
dominant school in the Middle East for centuries. Although Shiites are spread across
the Middle East and South Asia, they constitute a majority only in Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan
and Bahrain, which is ruled by a Sunni king.

The split between Islam’s main schools stems from a clash over succession after the
death of the Prophet Muhammad in the year 632. Shiites believe power should have
gone to the prophet’s son-in-law Ali and grandson Hussain; Sunnis think it shouldn’t
have been hereditary.

In subsequent centuries, there were regular outbreaks of sectarian hatred. Ibn Taymiyya,
a 14th-century Islamic scholar, penned a treatise attacking Shiites as “rafidha,” or those
who refuse God, popularizing a pejorative label that has since been adopted by Islamic
State.
Following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in 1922, however, differences between
Sunnis and Shiites seemed obsolete, overshadowed by the divide between pro-Western
conservative regimes and pro-Soviet revolutionaries.

Saudi Arabia didn’t think twice in the 1960s about backing the Shiite royalist rebels in
Yemen, the forefathers of today’s Houthis, against the invading troops from Sunni but
revolutionary Egypt.

Then came the Iranian revolution that established Tehran’s Shiite theocracy. Ayatollah
Ruhollah Khomeini called for cleansing the region of Western influence, destroying Israel
and sweeping away reactionary monarchies such as Saudi Arabia’s.

“Iran is a Shiite Persian country in a predominantly Sunni Arab region. They can’t lead
the region by waving a Shiite flag, so they’ve tried to do so under the banner of Islamic
resistance against America and Israel,” explained Karim Sadjapour, Iran specialist at the
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington.

Predictably, Saudi Arabia and its allies responded by focusing attention on their foe’s
Shiite identity. The kingdom sees itself as a leader of the Muslim world because the
holy cities of Mecca and Medina rest on its soil, and for many decades Saudi-funded
Islamic education networks around the world poured vast sums into spreading anti-
Shiite propaganda.

In Pakistan, home to the world’s second-largest Sunni and Shiite communities, military
dictator Zia ul-Haq directly encouraged in the 1980s the creation of deadly Sunni
sectarian groups that now regularly massacre ordinary Shiites throughout the country. In
the latest attack, gunmen opened fire on a bus in the city of Karachi, killing more than
40 members of the Ismaili branch of Shiite Islam.

“Divisions were always there, but violence at the popular level wasn’t. Zia brought it in,”
said Raza Rumi, the editor of Pakistan’s Friday Times newspaper who survived an
assassination attempt by a Sunni sectarian group last year. The political use of
sectarianism, he added, “let the genie out of the bottle.”

MARRIAGE IN NUPE IN LINE WITH ISLAMIC TRADITION

Sulaiman Baba
I am Nupe
Marriage in Nupe Culture
Among the Nupes, marriage is a sacred inst-
itution which is contracted between a man and a
woman. The two people involved are referred to
as “eba yawo and yawo” meaning husband and
wife.
In the earlier Nupe tradition, young boys and girls
did not on their own choose who to marry. This
arrangement was left for the two families to
decide on behalf of their children. However, this
has changed significantly over the last three
decades. Young boys and girls now meet and
agree with one another before they involve their
parents. However, one thing is very clear, the
practice follows mutual understanding, consent
and approval of both parents. It is against this
background that when the boy’s family wants to
ask for the hand in marriage of a girl (desire to
marry their daughter) to their son that one of the
elders or a family friend (Rinna) is sent on
delegate mission to meet with the girl’s family.
The Rinna is very important in Nupe marriage; he
is the intermediary between the two families,
though with paramount interest of the boy’s
family.
At the inception of negotiations, the Rinna goes to
see the girl’s family on a mission called “Egi wa”
meaning seeking for marriage of a girl. This
mission is accompanied with Kola-nut and some
money as evidence. The girl’s family collects the
items and a reply will follow sooner or later. This
is marked by the distribution of these Kola-nuts
and money (no matter how little) to immediate
family members and distant relations of the girl’s
family announcing that their daughter Miss A is
now blessed with a husband, which the family
after due consultations and investigations will
finally approve of.
Bride and GroomBride and Groom FeedingThe next
stage now is for the Rinna to broad-cast same to
the boy’s family that mission has been
accomplished, marking a good begin-ning.
Therefore, the boy and his friends will now carry
on a special visit called “emisa” (greetings) to the
girl’s family to show appreciation for such
approval. This visit affords members of the girl’s
family to know their son – in – law. The period
usually attracts a lot of jokes from older women
in the girl’s compound who will claim to be the
first wife, hence, a big challenge for their future
bridegroom or son-in-law. Infact, some will even
go ahead to assess in joking pattern, his
completion, physique and handsome looks. That
is not a problem, as majority of Nupe people have
similar looks – handsome, sociable and peace-
loving. In the post-jihadist movement, there has
been no reported communal, religious, ethnic or
political upheaval of any magnitude in Nupeland.
Hence, Nupe people are models in peaceful
coexistence.
The subsequent stages are related to the wedding
plans. These start with the negotiation of “Ewo
yawo”(bride – price) which differs from one Nupe
zone to another but majority are in accordance
with the tenets of Islam. After a specific amount
is agreed upon, the Rinna ensures prompt
payment and other charges are set aside like
“Godiyagi” (small thanks) and “Godiyako” (big
thanks). The amounts are used to show
appreciation to relatives and the girl’s parents
respectively. The later in addition to other
resources the girl’s parents can afford are used to
acquire wedding gifts such as plates, cooking
utensils, dresses and new cloths for their beloved
daughter. Any sacrifice in this direction is not too
much. This is because in Nupe custom there is a
wise saying that “The daughter of a bride must
also become a bride” many women look forward
to this land-mark event in their lives. When all the
conditions are fulfilled and the girl reaches
puberty and is assumed “matured” to undertake
maternal responsibilities, the Rinna meets with
the boy’s family to decide on the month of the
year they want the marriage ceremony. He then
communicates this to the girl’s family who will
give approval after due consultations with other
family members. Finally, a specific date is fixed in
the approved month and the wedding proper is
arranged.
Traditional DanceOn the night preceding the
wedding date, the girl is formally initiated into
marriage “yaworufa dan”. This date in the 19th
Century up to the early 20th Century, is kept
secret and the girl does not know about it.
However, things have since changed, that not
only are Kola-nuts distributed to all well-wishers
from both sides openly, but also, the introduction
of invitation card in accordance with the dictates
of modern civilization characterizes Nupe
marriage in the 21st Century.
On the wedding date, Mu’alims (Islamic scholars)
are invited by the girl’s parents to carry out the
solemnization of their children’s wedding fatiha
with representatives of the boy’s family in
attendance and other well-wishers present to
bear witness and share the joy of the occasion.
After the pronouncement of the couple as
husband and wife, celebrations follow all through
the night. In some families, Islamic preaching is
observed all night, while in a majority, beating of
drums and folk songs are engaged in with well
wishers joining the families in celebrations. Late
in the evening of the wedding fatiha, the new
bride is prepared for the journey to her husband’s
home. She goes round relatives to bid them
farewell, that emotional moment is not always
easy for both the bride and the parents as tears
and prayers flow freely. Others give her final
counselling and guidance for a successful
marriage life. Then the parents finally handover
the girl to Rinna (yawogo) and she is usually
accompanied by a little girl and another married
woman to her new home.
Nupe musiciansIn the new home she is received
into a newly prepared room by the groom’s
family. Here, another round of celebrations
continue for the next 24 hours. This time around,
it is merry making galore and the atmosphere
becomes charged with dancing and singing as the
common feature. In the traditional age-old Nupe
culture, this ceremony may last between 5-7
days. But nowadays, the entire ceremony is
completed within 24-48 hours. Several traditional
practices in Nupe marriage have been jettisoned
due to the enlightment created by Islamic
preaching and educational programmes.
In Christian communities, church wedding
systems are adopted based on the teachings of
each denomination. However, varying degrees of
celebrations are observed in terms of
entertainment and support by friends, family and
well-wishers.

SHEHU UTHMAM DAN FODIO AS A REFORMER

Shaikh Usman Dan Fodio - Brief Biography
Sheikh Uthman bn Fodio was born born in Maratta in 1168 AH/ December 1754 CE, and his full name is Uthman bn Muhammad bn Uthman bn Salih bn Ayyub bn Harun bn Muhammad Gordo bn Muhammad Jabbo bn Muhammad Sambo bn Ayyub bn Bubab Bani bn Masiran bn Ayyub bn Musa who is called Jakolo who came from Futa Toro. The name Foduye is his father’s epithet, which is a Fulfulde word meaning “the learned” and the word “Dan” is the Hausa version of “son of”. The family of Sheikh Uthman bn Fodio, a family that is well known for Islamic scholarship, migrated from Futa Toro to Hausaland in the 5th century after Hijra.
Sheikh Uthman ibn Fodio studied under various teachers including his father. But one of the teachers that had the greatest influence on him was Jibril ibn Umar JIbril who was concerned about the level of decadence in the Hausa society. Sheikh Uthman bn Fodio was influenced by the concerns of his teacher, and he dedicated himself to the study of Islam, until it reached a point where he began to see himself as scholar. As mentioned by Bugaje (1979), about four issues preoccupied the mind of Danfodio in Hausa land, these are:
Rigidity and venality of the Ulama
Belief and unbelief
Local customs and traditions
Mass ignorance of Islam.
For this reason the focus of his teaching geared towards addressing these areas with a view to reform them so that people’s life style can conform to the Qur’an and Sunnah. When he reached the age of 20, he established his own school in Degel and together with his brother Abdullahi they started going to different towns and cities to preach.
As a result of the preaching, he started attracting followership. Degel became a centre of learning because people are coming to take lessons from him. However, this created an enmity for him against the scholars of the time who were worried about his popularity and his insistence on the Qur’an and sunnah. At this point Sheikh Uthman started writing, and it was reported that he wrote about fifty books at that time especially on the scholars who justify the corruption of the rulers, and he refused to listen to those who ascribe certain supernatural powers to him, because some rumours at that time were that he is a Wali and even flies. But what worries Sheikh Uthman ibn Fodio most is the ignorance of the society, in particular scholars who leave their wives and children in a state of ignorance without any knowledge of the deen.
When the teaching of Shehu became popular he extended the teaching to his head, Bawa Jan Gwarzo, Sarkin Gobir.
Shehu then moved to Zamfara and preached for five years. One of the scholars at that time attacked him for teaching women together with men, even though he separates them, and Sheikh said it is a great sin to leave women in ignorance and even a greater sin to leave them to mix in crowd and other non Islamic activities but deny them knowledge.
During the Eid of 1788, Bawa Jan Gwarzo invited all the scholars, and he gave them gifts and Shehu’s was the largest, but he turned it down and instead he said he has five demands:
To allow him to call people to Allah
Not to stop anyone who wants to respond to his call
To treat with respect anyone with turban
To free all political prisoners
Not to burden the subjects with taxes
He continued with his teaching and it was at this period that he wrote Ihya’ussunnah wa ikhmadul bid’a Bawa Jan Gwarzo started becoming uncomfortable with the teaching of Shaikh Uthman bn Fodio while at the same time the students of bn Fodio became tired of the persecution and decided to call for confrontation with the authorities. However, Shehu stopped them requested them to be patient for a while.
While this is going on, Bawa Jan Gwarzo died and his successor, Nafata was alarmed by Shehu’s teaching, so he imposed three new rules:
No one should preach except the Shaikh himself.
No more conversion to Islam. Those who were not born Muslims should revert to their old religion.
Men should

JAMALUDEEN AL AFGHANISTAN A REFORMER

Sayyid Jamaluddin Al-Afghani was an important and prominent 19th century Islamic figure. An ardent opponent of materialistic philosophies and colonialist designs, Al-Afghani is said to have been born 1838 in Asadabad, the capital of the Afghan province of Kunar.

There is no clarity, as though is the case with many other important figures in history, on parts of Al-Afghani’s biography. Time and again he has been accused of tendency towards Shiaism and Freemasonry. Notwithstanding that, he is still popular among a strata of political schools in the Middle East and other parts of the Islamic world: the Islamic Brotherhood, modernists, to some extent nationalists, as well as Shia revolutionaries.

However, he is unpopular among some Sufis. Also, parts of the Islamic orthodoxy, including the Salafi movement, are critical of Al-Afghani. This though some orientalists still tend to view Al-Afghani as the vanguard of Salafi thought which is mistaken. For example, according to Al-Afghani, one of the prime cause of the Muslim world’s demise is its negligence in the utilization of rationalism. By contrast, a major current of the Salafi discourse is that the demise of the Muslim world is primarily connected to its negligence in the correct understanding (plus subsequential application) of the primary (textual) sources of Islam.

The following text is a harsh critique of the Easterners. Unfortunately, one cannot deduce from it whether Al-Afghani means the Eastern political elites and rulers when using the term “Easterners” or -categorically -all “Easterners”. He could be using this term even in a more restricted fashion, i.e. only applying it to the Muslim world’s rulers. Not being specialist on Al-Afghani, these questions shall be left to those who are privy to his works. The title of the text leads one to dedce that Al-Afghanis Weltanschauung was marked by an West-East dichotomy. But this too is still speculative and maybe a fruitful field of discussion or even study to the specialists on Al-Afghanis philosophy.

The following text was translated into Pashto from Urdu by Muhsin Amin and has been published by different Afghan media outlets, including Tariq Bazgar’s DAWAT magazine 2008 online edition. Muhsin Amin states that his translation is based on the text which appeared in Urdu-language writer Shaahid Hussein Razzaqi’s book: “Sayyid Jamal Ad-Deen Al-Afghani, May God’s mercy be upon him. Life & Thought”. This English translation, which was undertaken merely for academic purpose, though innitiated by the request of an acquaintance, is, thus, based on Muhsin Amin’s translation of the Urdu. Therefore, the following text is a translation’s translation, and in consequence to be treated with certain academic foresight.

The causes of the East’s fall from its lofty position into an abyss of humiliation, the prevalence of poverty and hunger among its people, the emergence of

indignity and abasement, and being subjected to invasions of foreign nations lie in the Easterners having lost the light of reason by not appyling it as well as

having morally degraded.

Hence it comes as no surprise when they choose a beastly life. They do not pay attention to what concerns them, nor do they seriously contemplate on it. They

do not avoid evil and mischief in their actions, and have not learned to exert effort for their own expedience and how to save themselves from loss.

Dormancy has overcome their minds; their outlooks and opinions have become unservicable for the reform of themselves. Their eyes are unable to grasp the

humiliations which have overwhelmed their habitat and restricted it. They fall into precicipes of elimination and plight on account of of their own handiwork.

Deviant imaginations have led them to the darkness of the world of desire and lust. It is these imaginations and doubts which they follow besides being led by a

corrupted nature.

They will not sense pain unless calamity strikes their bodies. Once

BEST ADVICE A MUSLIM FATHER CAN OFER HIS/HER CHILDREN

A FATHER'S ADVICE ON NIKAAH.

My Daughter, tomorrow you will stop being in my house. You will be happily married to the man you love. Dont miss me because I have fulfilled my purpose, it is now time for you to start fulfilling yours.

From your childhood, I have raised you well by the grace of Allaah but before you say I do, there are few things I need to tell you about living with a man and being married.

Do you remember when you wrote your WAEC and JAMB exams?

You came to me and I gave you 20,000 naira for the registration? Well, even though I gave it to you, the money was not mine. I know you always thought I paid the fees.

The truth is, I was broke… but your mother gave me the money. She could have given it to you but she decided to give it to me as the head of the house to give to you.

Support your husband.

Some times things will get tough… he will be frustrated. Even though he acts tough, in his mind he has fears… he fear you may not value him anymore because he has fallen. That is the time to get behind him and support him!

The best way to show your husband you love him is to RESPECT him!

You may argue with him, you may disagree but at the end of the day, let him know he has your respect.

Do you remember the day I screamed at your mother?

What did she do? She was quiet!

Do you also remember the day she screamed at me? What did I do? I was quiet!

My daughter learn to be quiet sometimes when your husband is angry. When one person is hot, the other should be cool. If two are always screaming at same time, that is how big problems start in marriage.

The first thing to know about your husband is his favourite food! If he has more than one then keep them at the back of your mind.

Dont let him ask for it, always prepare it for him.

There was a day your mother caught me touching a woman’s hand affectionately. I was lust after that woman but I was not yet cheating on your mum. When she saw us…

she didnt fight the lady, she quietly left. I was afraid of going home because all hell will break lose. But when I got home she said nothing. She served me my food. Guilt was taking control over me. I started begging. From that day, I never looked at a woman two time.

Who knows? If she had fought and threatened me… maybe I could have run away from the fight into the arms of the lady. Sometimes Silent brings better solution than fight.

Forget those romantic novels you read while you were 18 or 21. Remember those Indian and American love movies?

Also remember those too sweet Nollywood films on African magic?

 Forget them!

Don’t expect your married life to be that way. Life is different from fiction.

The last thing I want to tell you….

Your mother is fond of doing her home chores from morning till night yet she never refuse me of my night food. That is how you were born. Dont form a habit of denying your husband of his night food.

Be a good wife.

FMR. U. S PRESIDENT GEORGE WASHINGTON BUSH HAS CONVERTED TO ISLAM

BREAKING NEWS –
Former US
President George W
Bush Converts To
Islam, Credits
Hamza Yusuf
JULY 7, 2014 | MULLAHLIAMADDEEN | 1
COMMENT
In a press conference today, former US
president George W Bush announced
to the world that he has decided to
convert to the Islamic faith. This
amazing conversion story has shocked
both the global Muslim community and
the American public. Bush appeared
before the media, along side his long
time friend and confidante Shaikh
Hamza Yusuf, to tell of his conversion
and to answer any questions from
those in attendance.
Describing how he felt after he had
embraced the faith, Bush said,
“Well, in the words of the great James
Brown, I feel good. Like I knew that I
would. I feel good. So good. So good. I
got you Allah.”
The former commander and chief
continued,
“After takin’ my shay-hay-day, I feel
such a sense of relief, such a sense of
calm. Like the calm after the storm
when the rescue teams come. Like the
calm after Katrina, y’all know what I
mean?”
A reflective Bush continued to tell of
his long time affection for Islam,
“I always said, even while I occupied
my office and Iraq, that Islam was a
religion of peace, and I really meant
that. I know I lied about other things,
but that was one of the true ones. Y’all
are so nice, an’ welcoming. Almost like
a whole religion of Texans. It really
changed my life when I found out
white people could be Muzlums too. Its
like I learned somethin’ or somethin’.
Its hard to express what I’m feelin’ in
words y’all will understand. Knocked
my socks off, tell ya what. Knocked ’em
clean off. Its like someone just came in
and turned all the lights on. I was in
complete darkness pretty much before,
but now I feel pretty happy. I feel fresh
like a new born baby boy.”
When asked if it was his own self
studying of the religion that had
brought him to his decision, Bush
stated,
“Well to be honest, not really, not
really no. I mean, I have been a friend
for a long time with my buddy Hamza
here,” the former president said as he
slapped Shaikh Hamza Yusuf on the
knee in a jovial manner.
Speaking of his long time mentor, Bush
said,
“I give a lot of credit to Shaikh Hamza,
or Hammy as I like to call him. Hammy
an’ me go way back, and he’s helped
me a lot you know, teachin’ me the
basics of the deeni-oolla. How’s my
teej-wad Hammy?”
Shaikh Hamza Yusuf smiled, nodding
his head in the affirmative. The
respected California based scholar
offered much praise for the newly
converted Bush,
“I have known brother George for over
a decade now. I can remember the
first time I met him in the Oval Office.
There was just something about him, I
could see noor just pouring off his
face,” the Shaikh said as he began to
tear up, “I thought… (sniff), Wallahi…
Huwa min Ahlil Jannah!… (sniff)… and
I made du’a for him ‘Oh Allah, give
this beautiful man faith in You.’ And
here he is today, he has said his
testimony in front of two witnesses.
His whole past life of sins are totally
wiped clean, he has a fresh start. He is
totally forgiven, completely innocent,
as the day he was born.”
“Yeah, I like that part,” chuckled the
former president. “Cuz I’ve made some
real doozies in my day. But its all
smooth sailin’ from here on in to Janet
Faradawzi. That’s the Muzlum word
for heaven. I don’t know who Janet
was, maybe Adam’s third wife or
somethin’.”
Among the gathered reporters was
Muntadhar al-Zaidi, an Iraqi journalist
and broadcaster who infamously threw
his size 10 shoe at the then President
several years prior. Al-Zaidi addressed
the newly converted Bush saying,
“Mr. President, I am so overjoyed that
you have embraced the true religion,
and you have come to your senses. I
just want to say that please accept my
apology for throwing my size 10 shoe
at you, and for calling you a dog. It is
really wrong for a Muslim to hurt
another Muslim, so I just wanted to ask
your pardon for that lack of good
manners.”
“Well here’s the deal Zaidi,” Bush said,
“I sure do forgive you. I mean, if Allah
can forgive all the things I did to your
country of Iraq, and all the things I did
in Afghaniland, I think I can find it in
my heart to forgive a Muzlum brother.
So al ham-doo-la-la-la. So long as ya
aren’t one of them shi’ites, its all good
bud.”
With that, the former leader of the free
world ended the press conference with
prayers of peace and a heartfelt thank
you,
“Thank y’all so much for being so kind,
really means somethin’ to me. Wa
lakaam asalaam wa rami-toola wa
abracadbratuhu. I’m still workin’ on
my teej-wad, but y’all know what I
mean. Peace.”

BENEFIT OF SUJUDUD SHUKUR

BENEFITS OF SUJuduSH SHUKUR
Sujudush Shukr is like a treasure in this world and al ākhira. This information is worth gold, the benefits of doing Sajdatul Shukr. Most of us miss these benefits and we don't know how much it's worth. When we do Sajdatul Shukr, Allah opens the hijaab between us and the Angels . He says to the Angels, look at my slave, he did his fardh and obeyed My teachings and he did Sujuud to thank Me for what I've blessed him with. Oh My Angels what should he get? The Angels will reply, Ya Rabana give him Your mercy. Then Allah will ask again, and what else? The Angels will reply, Ya Rabana give him Your heaven. Then Allah will ask again, and what else? The Angels will reply, Ya Rabana make his worries end. Then Allah Taala will ask what else? Everytime Allah asks n what else, the Angels will reply, something good. Lastly the Angels will reply, Ya Rabana we have no knowledge. Then Allah will say, ' I'll thank him the way he thanked Me, I'll give him My favour and show him My mercy'.
What harm do we get if we do Sajdatul Shukr everyday? It's just a sajda and not a salaat.
whenever you r blessed with any good or any harm being removed, You can do it with or without wudu'; facing alqibla or not. But it's best with wudu' and facing the alqibla. During Sajdatul Shukr say what you say in the prostration during salat. Do not let this chance get away from you. Pls share with all your contacts; everytime they do this sujda you'll get reward (ajir). Even after you've died it'll be sadaqatul jariya. O Allah, make it sadaqatul jariya for me, my parents, my family, all those who'll share it and all Muslims. Ameen.

HOW TO OBSERVE SALATU JANNAZZAH (prayer on the Deseased)

الصلاة على الميت

THE SALAAT UPON THE DEAD: SALAATUL JANAAZAH=THE FUNERAL PRAY, AND HOW TO PERFORM IT.

1-يقف الإمام وراء رأس الرجل ،ووسط المرأة (عند عجيزتها) .

1- The Imaam stand in the back of a man's head (if the deceased is a man), and the middle of a woman (if the deceased is a woman ( i.e, stand around the waist)).

2- يكبر على الجنازة أربعا إلى تسعة تكبيرات ، والأولى التنويع و الأربعة مقدمة لأن الأحاديث فيها أكثر.

2- Then he make takbeer (saying ALLAAHU AKBAR) from 4 to 9 times, the other (the ones one does takbeeraat more than four times) varies, but making the takbeer four times is preponderant. Because the ahaadeeth on it are much more.

3- و يرفع يديه في التكبيرة الأولى و لا يرفعها في بقية التكبيرات.

3- The Imaam raises his hands in the first takbeer, and he doesn't raise them in the other remaining takbeeraat.

4- و يضع يده اليمنى على ظهر كفه اليسرى والرسغ والساعد , ثم يشد بهما على صدره .

4- The Imaam places his right hand in the back of his left hand, meeting with his forearm and wrist.

5- ثم يقرأ عقب التكبيرة الأولى فاتحة الكتاب سورة ، ولا يشرع دعاء الاستفتاح ، ويقرأ الفاتحة وسورة سرا ولا يجهر بها إلا للتعليم .

5- Then he recite the Suuratul Faatihah after the first takbeer. Reciting du'aaa ul- istiftaah (opening prayer) is not legislated. He should just recite faatihah and another suurah (of his choice) silently (not in open voice), he should not read it out, except it's for the purpose teaching (those behind)

6-ثم يكبر التكبيرة الثانية ،و يصلي على النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم بإحدى صيغ الصلاة الإبراهيمية الثابتة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم .

6- Then he make the second takbeer, he pray on the Prophet, may ALLAAH be pleased with him, with one of the types of Salaatul Ibraaheemiyyah that is reported from Authentic narrations from the Prophet salla LLAAHU alayhi wa sallam (note that he is not to raise his hands again after the raising of the first takbeer).

7-ثم يأتي ببقية التكبيرات ،و يخلص الدعاء فيها للميت .

7- He then make the remaining takbeeraat, then he pick a du'aa and pray for the deceased with it <¹>.

8-ويدعو بما ورد عن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم إن كان يحفظه و إلا دعا للميت بالأدعية العامة .

8- Then he make other du'aa from those Narrated from the Prophet salla LLAAHU alayhi wa sallam if he memorised them, otherwise, he make other popular du'aa <²>.

9-و الدعاء يكون بعد كل تكبيرة ,عدا التكبيرتين الأوليين ففيهما فاتحة الكتاب و الصلاة الإبراهيمية – كما سبق ذكره - .

9- And these du'aa should be after each of the (last two) takbeeraan, except for the first two, where you read faatihah (in the first), and Salaatu Ibraaheemiyyah (in the second)- as it has been preceded.

10- ثم يسلم تسليمتين مثل تسليمه في الصلاة المكتوبة إحداهما عن يمينه و الأخرى عن يساره , ويجوز أن يقتصر على تسليمة واحدة فقط .

10- He should then after make two tasleem, like his tasleem in the obligatory salaat, one to the right, and the other to the left, but its allowed to make one tasleem only.

11-والسنة أن يسلم في الجنازة سرا,الإمام و المأموم في ذلك سواء.

11- The Sunnah is that one make the tasleem in low voice, not loud, both the Imaam and the ma'muum (those who pray behind him) in the same time.

TAYYAMMUM

TAYAMMUM

Definition
In Arabic, the word Tayammum literally means an
'aim' or 'purpose.' In Islamic Law, it refers to:
'Aiming for or seeking soil to wipe one's face and
hands with the intention of purification and
preparing oneself to pray, and so on."
Proof of its Legitimacy
This act of ritual cleansing is proven by the
Quran, Sunnah (prophetic tradition) and
Ijmaa' (consensus of Muslim scholars). The Quran
says (what means): "…And if you are ill or on a
journey or one of you comes from the place of
relieving himself or you have contacted women
[i.e., had sexual intercourse] and find no water,
then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces
and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allaah is ever
Pardoning and Forgiving." [Quran 4:43]
From the Sunnah, we have the Hadeeth (prophetic
statement) related by Abu Umaamah in which the
Prophet said: "All of the earth has been made a
pure place of prayer for me and my nation.
Whenever a person from my nation wants to pray,
he has something with which to purify himself,
that is, the earth." [Ahmad]
Finally, there is a consensus that Tayammum
forms a legitimate part of the Sharee'ah (Islamic
Law), as it replaces ablution with water or Ghusl
(ritual bathing), under specific circumstances.
A Blessing from Allaah
This form of ablution is viewed as a blessing from
Allaah to the Muslims. Jaabir related that the
Prophet said: "I have been given five things that
were not given to anyone before me: I have been
made victorious due to fear of a distance of one
month's journey; the earth has been made a place
of prayer for me and a source of purification -
wherever and whenever any member of my nation
wants to pray, he may pray; and the war booty
has been made lawful to me, and this was not
lawful to anyone before me. I have been given
permission to intercede. Prophets before me used
to be sent to their own people only, but I have
been sent to all of mankind." [Al-Bukhaari &
Muslim]
When to Make Tayammum
One is permitted to make Tayammum in any of the
following cases:
1- If one cannot find water or the amount one
finds is insufficient for ablution
'Imraan Ibn Husayn said: "We were with the
Messenger of Allaah during a journey. When he
led the people in prayer, one man stayed apart.
He asked him: "What prevented you from praying?"
He replied: 'I need a ritual bath (because of
having a wet dream) and there is no water.' The
Messenger said: 'Use the soil, for it is sufficient
(i.e. Tayammum).''' [Al-Bukhaari & Muslim]
2- If one is injured or ill
If one is in this condition and thinks that using
water will worsen it (he does not have to be
absolutely sure, but may base his assumption on
past experience or what a knowledgeable person
has told him), he may perform Tayammum.
Jaabir said, "We were on a journey and one of us
was injured. Later, he had a wet dream. He asked
his companions, 'Can I perform Tayammum?' They
said, 'No, not if you have water.' He performed
Ghusl, which caused him to die. When news of
this came to the Messenger of Allaah he said:
"They killed him! May Allaah kill them! Do you not
ask if you do not know? The remedy for ignorance
is to ask. He could have performed Tayammum
and not dropped water on his wound, or wrapped
it with something, then wiped over the wrapping,
and then washed the rest of his body.""
3- If water is cold enough to physically harm the
user
Tayammum is allowed when water is available but
is too cold and cannot be heated, or there is no
public bathroom available. 'Amr Ibn Al-'Aas
narrated that he was once participating in a
military expedition. He had a wet dream during an
extremely cold night, and was afraid that if he
performed Ghusl he would die. He prayed the
morning (Fajr) prayer with his companions. He
then went to the Messenger of Allaah to ask him
about this. The Messenger said: "O 'Amr! Did you
pray with your companions while you needed a
ritual bath?" 'Amr said to the Prophet the verse
(which means): "…Do not kill yourselves [or one
another]. Indeed, Allaah is to you ever
Merciful." [Quran 4:29] The Prophet smiled at this
and did not say anything. [Al-Bukhaari]
4- If water is nearby, but one cannot fetch it due
to fear
If one fears for his life, family, wealth, [for
example, if an enemy (beast or human) is nearby
or if one is a prisoner, and so on], he may perform
Tayammum. This is also allowed if there is water
but one lacks the proper means to get it, or if one
fears some accusation against him if he gets it.
5- If one is saving his water for later use
This could be for dough, cooking, or to remove an
impurity that is not pardonable. Imaam Ahmad
said: "Many of the Companions performed
Tayammum to save their water for drinking." 'Ali
said: "A man who is travelling and becomes
unclean because of sexual intercourse, or a wet
dream, can perform Tayammum if he fears he will
go thirsty. He should perform Tayammum and not
Ghusl." [Ad-Daaraqutni]
6- If one can get water, but fears that the prayer
will be over by the time he gets it
He can perform Tayammum and pray, and does
not need to repeat his prayer (after he gets water)
.
The Soil Used for Tayammum
It must be pure soil: this can be sand, stone,
gypsum, and so on. Allaah Almighty Says in the
Quran (what means): "…Perform Tayammum with
pure soil..." [Quran 5:6] and all scholars of the
Arabic language agree that 'soil' (in Arabic) is
whatever covers the earth, dirt or otherwise.
How to Perform Tayammum
First, one must have the intention to perform
ablution and purifying himself, then he mentions
Allaah's name, strikes the soil with his hands, and
wipes his face and hands up to the wrist, starting
with the right hand. Nothing is more authentic and
clear than what 'Ammaar related. He said: "I once
became sexually impure and had no water, so I
rolled in the dirt and prayed. This was mentioned
to the Prophet who said: "This would have been
enough for you," and he struck the earth with his
hands, blew in them and then wiped his face and
hands with them." [Al-Bukhaari & Muslim]
This Hadeeth shows that one strike of the earth is
sufficient, and one only wipes the arms to the
wrists. It is an act of Sunnah that one who makes
Tayammum with dirt should blow into his hands
first and not make his face dusty or dirty.
What Tayammum Makes Permissible
After performing Tayammum, one is pure and may
perform any of the acts requiring prior ritual
purification, such as praying and touching the
Quran. He does not have to perform it during the
time of prayer, and he may pray as many prayers
as he wishes (unless he nullifies it), exactly as it
is the case with regular ablution. Abu Tharr
reported that the Prophet said: "The soil is a
purifier for a Muslim, even if he does not find
water for ten years. Then, if he finds water, that
is, to make ablution, and so on, it becomes
incumbent upon him to use it." [Ahmad & At-
Tirmithi]

FIRST NIGHT OF NIKKAH (LAILATUL ZAFAF)

WHAT DO YOU KNOW
ABOUT THE 1ST NIGHT OF
MARRIAGE, {LAYLA TU
ZAFAF}???
The first night of marriage
is one of the best night of marriage couples which
they enter the night with
full expectation of
goodness but some merely
lacks the knowledge about
the first night which is bad!!!.
It is unfortunate to notice
that our young men and
women who are absolutely
not ready for marriage and
even if they are ready for marriage seek to take
advice from bad friends
who dont know anything
about that but to expose
them to watch
pornographic movie to satisfy their curiosity
which is totally forbidden
in Islam. The eye that is
seeking to watch the
nackedness of someone
would be questioned and severe torment for such
people.
Dear Newly married
couples or would-be
married couples; The
wedding night is such a blessful night in which
every couple who have
remain chaste and keep
their virginity are waiting
for cos of the enjoyment of
the blessful night!!!. The night starts when the
bride is presented to the
groom and the groom
enters the room with a
smiling face and
say'Assalam alaykum'and the shy bride with her soft
enticing voice should
respond'Wa alaykum
salam'..!!!
It is in the Sunnah that
both couples should not rush into something very
fast but should perform
two nafila as narrated in a
hadith of the Prophet:
"When you enter upon your
wife (for the first time), you have first to perform two
rak'ats and then hold your
wife's head and say, “
Allaahumma ennee
as'aluka khayrahaa wa
khayra maa jabaltahaa alayhe, wa auuzubeka
minn sharrehaa wa sharre
maa jabaltahaa alayhe ).
(O Allah! Bless my wife for
me,bless me for my wife,
give her bounty out of me, and give me bounty out of
her!"Then you can do what
you want."[Reported by
Abu Dawud]. Then after
that there follow the sacred
union!!!. Before the sacred union,
there are things which
should be observe so as to
make that night special.
1.Make Her
Comfortable. The husband should try to make the wife
comfortable by presenting
her a drink or a sweet cos
from the hadith of Asmaa
bint Yazeed ibn al-Sain
who said'I prepared the beautiful Aishah for the
Messenger of Allah (saw).
Then he came and I called
him to see her in all her
beauty.He came and sat
next to her. He was brought a large cup that
contained milk. He drank
and she put her head
down.).
2. The woman on that first
night become very shy which is normal and so the
husband should not be
rude to her but should treat
her with kindness and
good romantic words.
3. Cleanliness must be ensured on that night and
it is preferable to make the
surrounding tidy and not to
use a bright light but a
blue romantic light as
some couples may feel uneasy with a bright bulb.
5. Make sure you arrange
your marriage at a time
when the bride is clean and
not in her menses as the
Quran says :{They ask thee concerning women’s
courses. Say: They are a
hurt and pollution:So keep
away from women in their
courses, and do not
approach them until they are clean. But when they
have purified themselves,
ye may approach them as
ordained for you by Allah
for Allah loves those who
turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep
themselves pure and
clean.}[Al-Baqarah: 222].
So keep this in mind
please!!!.
4. It is permissible that they take off all their
clothes and be completely
naked, but it is better for
them to be under a
common sheet, for the
Prophet(SAW) said:“ Verily Allah is modest and
discreet and He likes
modesty and
discretion.” (Related
byAhmad, Al-Tirmidhi, and
AbuDawud).So please beware of that!!.
The sacred union is not
entered in without any
intimacy like the way
animals approach each
other but it starts with an a romantic forelplay.
Foreplay play a major role
in the sexual stimulation of
the couples especially the
woman. Even the Prophet
was narrated in hadith where the Prophet said we
should marry a young girl
so that you may play with
her and she with you?
[Reported by Al-Bukhari]
Jabir also related,When I married, Allah’s Messenger
(pbuh) said to me, What
type of lady have you
married? I replied, I have
married a non-virgin
woman. He said, Why, do not you have a liking for
the virgins and for fondling
them? [Reported by Al-
Bukhari] . This is because
a virgin woman has the
luster of pleasure, clings to her husband and is easy to
be learned what her
husband wants to implant
of good manners. So the
first time to have sex with
your partner is very critical. Both of you may be
fumbling and do not know
what he or she ought to
do. This is because both of
you plan how to lose his or
her virginity as fast as possible.
Kissing, fondling and
Caressing one’s wife is so
important at that moment.
Speak to her about your
love and passion.Get to know each other’s body.
Take your time in caressing
each other and you will
began to stimulate and
ready for the union. Some
people think of foreplay as a disguesting and
undecent to do with one's
cos of their so_ called
piety but let me tell you
my brothers and sisters; it
is not a sign of piety to abstain from such
activities, for there is no
place for monasticism
(rahbaniyya) in Islam. It is
a practical religion
whereone may fulfil his/ her needs in a permissible
way. Piety (taqwa)
.However, this is totally
incorrect, for who can
possibly be more
pious, pure and God-fearing than the Messenger of
Allah (Allah bless
him&give him peace), yet
not only did he encourage
foreplay, etc,but practically
engaged in it with his wives, as we have learnt
from the authentic hadith.
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (Allah
have mercy on him)reports
in his famous “Tibbal-
Nabawi” that the Messenger of Allah (Allah
bless him & give him
peace) forbade from
engaging in sexual
intercourse before foreplay.
So In conclusion, it is important that the husband
fulfils the wife right of
foreplay and kissing. It is
not something that he
should be shy or reluctant
about. Some individuals regard practices related to
foreplay to be
“inappropriate” and
consider abstinence from
such activities to be from
piety (taqwa). However , this is totally ignorance
and so should practise
Islam When the foreplay is
at it peak and couples are
ready for the union, the
couples should recite this supplication which the
Prophet was narrated
saying :"If,whenever
anyone of you makes
sexual approach to his or
her mate, you say: "( Allaahumma jannebnash
shaytaan, wa jannebesh
shaytaan maa razaqtanaa )
.''O Allah, keep Satan away
from us, and keep him
away from any offspring You may bless us with,
then the Satan will never
harm any offspring you are
destined to produce.
People are curious to
watch pornographic films in the view of getting to
know styles for doing the
union which is wrong!.
There are many common
ways in which couples
physically position themselves for sexual
intercourse.The man-on-
top position is the most
common and preferable of
all intercourse positions. In
some cases such a position may turn upside
down, to be woman-on-top
position. But it is harmful
to have sexual intercourse
with your wife while
standing. It is also better not to eat a heavy
meal,since that will just
make you sleepy.
Some women may feel
uneasy when she is
suddenly break her virginity but the pleasure is
the most wanted and the
satisfaction that you are
doing it with a lawful
man.And For your
information, there is a moment in the union,
which is the climax and the
pleasure at that moment is
a very satisfying
enjoyment the couples had
never had in their lives but waiting for such night,
they enjoy it to the fullest
cos that is what Allah has
ordain for them.
The man should seek to
satisfy the woman sexually so does the woman and so
in this case the Prophet
said"Whoever has sexual
intercourse with his wife
and wants to do that again
would better make ablution.”[Reported by
Ahmad]''. And after the
union, the couples should
take bath and taking a
ritual bath together is
preffered cos it was narrated that the Prophet
said :On the authority
of'Aisha (may Allah be
pleased with her) who
said: “I used to bathe with
the Prophet from a single container of water which
was placed between us
such that our hands
collided inside it. He used
to race me such that
would say:"Leave some for me, leave some for me!.
She added:"We were in a
state of major ritual
impurity (i.e. the state of
janabah ). So it is very
good for couples to have this bath before
undertaking any act, then
the blessful first night has
ended.
My dear Brothers and
Sisters; islam has lay down everything for us so
let not our curiosity expose
us to the undecent dangers
from the unbelievers. Islam
has everything and so let
seek knowledge please.. My dear; the first night is
full of blessing and
enjoyment and it can only
be enjoyed by virgins and
sacred widows. Please
keep your virginity for that special husband of yours
please cos it is an honour
to meet your husband a
virgin. Dont date but enter
into marriage please. A
brother should remain chaste and not commit
zina , worship Allah and
obey His commandment
and you shall be granted a
good fantastic wedding
night in sha Allah. May Allah show us that
special night and may
Allah bless any one who
wants to enter into
marriage but not dating.
May Allah guide us all. Ameen. Allah knows
best!!!.

JESUS MARRIED AND HAVE 2 SON

Jesus 'married Mary Magdalene and had children', according to
ancient manuscript
A new book claims the Jesus fathered two children and married
By BEN TUFFT
Sunday 09 November 2014
Jesus married the prostitute Mary Magdalene and had children, according to a
manuscript almost 1,500 years old unearthed at the British Library.
The so-called “Lost Gospel”, which has been translated from Aramaic, allegedly reveals
the startling new allegations, according to The Sunday Times.
Professor Barrie Wilson and writer Simcha Jacobovic spent months translating the text,
which they claim states Jesus had two children and the original Virgin Mary was Jesus’s
wife and not his mother.

Many experts have downplayed the biblical figure’s historical importance but, according
to the translators of the new gospel, she is of much greater significance than previously
thought.
Mary Magdalene already features in the existing gospels and is present at many of the
important moments recorded in Jesus’s life.
“The Lost Gospel” is not the first to claim that Jesus married Mary Magdalene.
Both Nikos Kazantzakis in his 1953 book “The Last Temptation of Christ” and, more
recently, Dan Brown in “The Da Vinci Code” made the same allegation.
Further revelations from the book, including the names of Jesus's children, will be
released on Wednesday.
The publisher, Pegasus, has confirmed the press conference will go ahead as planned.

Igbo Corper Who Converted To Islam Over Buhari Writes Nigerians An Open Letter

Igbo Corper Who Converted To Islam Over Buhari Writes Nigerians An Open
Letter
Chukwuma says he’s gotten a lot of death threats and excommunication threates, so
he wants to tell Nigerians why he converted. Please read:
OPEN LETTER TO NIGERIANS; Allah IS MY GOD ALL CITIZENS OF THE FEDERAL
REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
Dear Nigerians,
WHY I JOINED ISLAM
My name is Chukwuma Austin Dike. My Islamic name is Mohammed Mustapha. I’m
from Mbaitoli Local Government, in Imo state, a graduate of political science from
University of Nigeria Nsukka and I am presently serving the nation Nigeria in
Konshisha local government in Benue state.
The truth is that I have always loved Islam as a kid in the 80’s in Dakata kano I
played most times in the masjid (Mosque).
I grew up loving the masjid not until my secondary school days when I left kano.
To me is like a reunion but to those who saw the headlines, some said that I am
dancing the macabre dance of religious cross carpeting, some said Buhari is my God
but I say Allah IS MY GOD.
I join Islam based on CONVICTION and I don’t care about anybody’s interpretation;
one with God is in the majority.
The vow: there is no controversy at all among those who knew me before May 29
except they decided to lie. I made the vow three times. Firstly, at wanunne camp in
Benue state before some Muslim corpers in November 2014.
Secondly, early December in my house before my family members and thirdly before
the staff of the school I was teaching Government (my PPA) in February this year.
Funny enough everybody thought I was joking.
What was my vow: Some Muslim brothers during a political argument told me last
year authoritatively that Allah has given Buhari victory, no matter how hard the
then president tries he will not win.
I was flabbergasted! Then I vowed if Buhari wins this forth coming election, I will
believe that Allah IS THE GREATEST and I will convert to Islam and serve Allah as
my God. The vow was made before God and man. Thanks to Allah that I kept my
vow.
On the issue of election and general politics Nigerians from the age of 18 and above,
if u did not experience anything on the day of the presidential election and May 29
Handover, you are either immature or living a care free life.
On my view on Muhammad Buhari today, I rather advise Him to retain the principal
of federal character and totally reject the political theory of winner takes it all; it is
not healthy for our modern democracy and the political culture of Nigeria.
Corruption is a canker worm; it’s like a virus eating Nigeria from the inside it must
be treated like Ebola.
Having said this Mr President I solicit for general amnesty to all corrupt officers that
will return his or her looted fund; because if amnesty can be granted to killing, it can
also be granted to corruption.
Furthermore, as you intensify your fight against corruption also include tribalism
and religious intolerance.
NYSC should not be scraped but the allawee should be increased and at least the sum
of 200,000 naira should be given to each graduating NYSC member to start a small
scale business.
This measure to me will reduce unemployment, because already at the camp most
corpers had skills acquisition training.
May almighty Allah grant you Mr President the wisdom to rule Nigeria, by the
special grace of Allah we shall meet in Aljanah.
As a Muslim I have received a lot of death and excommunication threats but in all I
thank Almighty Allah for honoring me with Islam, my life and destiny is in the hand
of Allah. SALAM.

WAKE UP BEFORE IS TOO LATE

WAKE UP B4
ITS TOO LATE!
A Beautiful Hadith
Rasulullah ( ﺻﻞ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ) said:
'When a man dies and his relatives
are busy in funeral, there stands an
extremely handsome man by his
head. When the dead body is
shrouded, that man gets in between
the shroud and the chest of the
deceased. When after the burial, the
people return home, 2 angels, Munkar
and Nakeer(names of two special
Angels), come in the grave and try to
separate this handsome man so that
they may be able to interrogate the
dead man in privacy about his faith.
But the handsome man says, 'He is
my companion, he is my friend. I will
not leave him alone in any case. If
you are appointed for interrogation,
do your job.. I cannot leave him until
I get him admitted into Paradise '.
Thereafter he turns to his dead
companion and says, 'I am the
Qur'an, which you used to read,
sometimes in a loud voice and
sometimes in a low voice. Do not
worry. After the interrogation of
Munkar and Naker, you will have no
grief..' When the interrogation is over,
the handsome man arranges for him
from Al-Mala'ul A'laa (the angels in
Heaven) silk bedding filled with
musk.
Rasulullah( ﺻﻞ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ) said: 'On
the Day of Judgement, before Allah,
no other Intercessor will have a

neither a Prophet nor an angel.'

BAN OF HIJAB?

PRESS RELEASE:

BAN ON HIJAB? IT HAD BETTER NOT BE

The Nigerian press has been agog with the debate on a possible ban on hijab for the past two weeks. They hinge the focus on the preponderance of female bombers who wear hijab. Chad, Niger, Cameroon, Gabon and Congo-Brazaville have also allegedly banned the hijab. So the argument is why shouldn’t Nigeria?

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) condemns the idea of placing a ban on hijab. It is as laughable as it is preposterous. It is the height of provocation. It is an attempt to ridicule Muslims in public. It is nothing but a hidden crusade against Muslims.

The proponents are simply intolerant, parochial and fanatical Muslim-haters who have drowned themselves in the ocean of Islamophobia. Above all, it proves that in spite of so many religious riots which occurred in this country, some Nigerians have not learnt their lessons as they are still reluctant to live and let live. We assert that this crude attempt will definitely fail.

It is widely known that anti-Muslim elements within the country have tried on several occasions to mislead gullible Nigerians that this country is a secular state. Nothing can be farther from the truth. Nigeria is a multi-religious state where freedom of religion should be enjoyed by Christians, Muslims and traditionalists.

Any attempt therefore to ban hijab in Nigeria will tantamount to a brutal assault on Allah-given fundamental rights of Muslims. It will be a contravention of Section 38 (ii) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

MURIC asserts that the idea of placing a ban on hijab was floated by anti-Muslim elements in the society who had, in the past, vainly sought to deny Muslim women of the right to use hijab. The same bigots have been opposing the use of hijab by female Muslim children in Nigerian public schools.

The same overzealous extremists have always treated Muslim women in hijab with disdain even in government offices. They ask Muslim women to remove their hijab while following procedures for obtaining international passports and driving licences.

This is clearly an attempt to get in the bends what the enemies of Islam could not get in the straight. Having failed to achieve their sinister objective in peace times, they have decided to float it in Nigeria’s trying period believing that such infantile pontification will becloud the Federal Government’s reasoning. But they have failed woefully.

MURIC asserts clearly, unequivocally and unambiguously that Nigerian Muslims are not slaves in this country. We are neither servants nor second class citizens but bona fide Nigerians and equal partners in the task of building a virile and united country. We will not allow anyone to blackmail us into submission over the Boko Haram imbroglio.

Anybody who compares Nigerian Muslims to their Chadian, Nigerian or Cameroonian counterparts is living in a fool’s paradise. How many Muslims are in Congo-Brazaville for instance? What applies in those five countries where hijab was allegedly banned does not apply here. How many religious riots have you heard of in those countries? How dare you compare them to Nigeria in this context?

Sentiments apart, the Nigerian society is a very volatile one and religion is particularly explosive in this country. The Nigerian Muslim community is sophisticated and cannot be brushed aside by any minority elitist group brandishing a rustic and myopic idea. We know our rights and our rights are our rights.

They even got it all wrong. Ordinary hijab was not banned in those five countries. What was allegedly banned is the burka or full-face veil and the niqab (face veil with an opening for the eyes). But hatred nursed for fellow Muslim compatriots informed the exaggeration. They believe this is ample opportunity to embarrass Islamdom.

Is it not in this same Nigeria that armed robbers often disguise in police uniform to rob, maim and kill innocent people. Has anyone ever suggested that police uniform should be banned? Where were those calling for a ban on hijab when Boko Haram insurgents were using Nigerian Army uniform to carry out their nefarious activities? Why didn’t they call for a ban on army uniform because of that? Assassins have struck on many occasions donning suit-up (trousers, shirt, tie and coat), why haven’t they call for a ban on suit-up?

By the way, are these Muslim haters unaware that there are hundreds of non-Muslims among Boko Haram insurgents? Our security forces know better. There have been many cases of non-Muslims disguising as Muslims to launch attacks. It is indubitable that some people are eager to give Muslims a bad name in order to smear our religion. It is man’s inhumanity to man.

MURIC advises these Muslim-haters to drop their poisonous and divisive garbs. Let us all come together, Christians, Muslims and traditionalists to fight these heartless and unscrupulous Boko Haram marauders to a standstill. Any call for a ban on hijab is a call to divide Nigerians once again along religious lines. Any such call is an invitation to chaos.

Nigerian Muslims reject any attempt from any quarter to treat them with disdain. Respect begets respect. We will not stand akimbo while conscienceless elements dehumanize our mothers, our daughters and our wives. Hijab is a divine commandment, a religious duty and a civic right. Any community or country that bans hijab has committed religious apartheid. Even South Africa has dropped the garb of discrimination.

It is not only a matter of faith but also a matter of dignity. What kind of son will look on while his mother is being de-robed? No man worth being called a husband will allow his wife to be molested unchallenged. Neither will parental instinct allow a father to stand by while his daughter is treated with ignominy. We refuse to be oppressed.

For the avoidance of doubts, any attempt to enforce a ban on hijab in present-day Nigeria will polarize the country and throw it into another religious crisis. It will turn the war against Boko Haram into a war against Islam. Please stop it right now. Don’t even think about it. Nigeria has enough trouble on its hands already. It should not even be contemplated in the North East where the attacks are preponderant otherwise it will turn the population against our security agents.

Where are the human rights activists? What have they got to say about the unfolding scenario? Where are the defenders of women’s rights? Why are these groups always silent when the rights of Muslims are being violated or about to be infringed? What of all their claims that they are the ones defending the rights of Muslim women? They should speak up now or forever remain silent on any issue concerning Muslims.

Enough of this double standard.  Are Muslims not also human beings? Is it objective by any standard to look the other way when Muslims are being oppressed? It is all so illogical. How can you love our daughters, our wives and our mothers more than we do? How can you cry louder than the bereaved? But why are you silent today when open injustice is about to be done?

MURIC challenges activists to open up. Only objectivity can save rights activists from cells of bias and the time is now. We appeal to the Federal Government to ignore the rantings of rebellious subjects and enemies of peace who are calling for a ban on hijab. They are an infinitesimally tiny cell of oppressive elitists who wish to throw Nigeria into a general pandemonium.

Instead of stigmatizing Muslim women, Nigerian security agents should be more professional. They should be proactive. Intelligence gathering and forward-looking anti-crime tactics is the in-thing in serious security outfits everywhere in the world today. We have agenda for security agencies. They should go after Boko Haram’s bomb-makers or are they ghosts? Nip Boko Haram bombing plots in the bud. Destroy their laboratories of evil.  Leave our women alone. Let the Muslims go!

Using every peaceful and constitutional means, Nigerian Muslims will resist any attempt to ban hijab. We can assure Nigerians that if this happens there will be massive peaceful protests by hitherto docile Muslim groups, particularly women. We will make so much noise that even the deaf will beg to be allowed to sleep. We spent the whole of Ramadan praying for peace in Nigeria. What else do you want? You will hear from our lawyers. Whoever tramples on the rights of law-abiding Muslims in this country should be ready for our curses. Nigerians should stop fishing in troubled waters.

Finally, we appeal to Muslims to remain calm and law-abiding. Those who are in the corridor of power in the country are more intelligent than the rabble-rousers think. Their plot will not work. We charge the National Assembly to sink its differences and address this issue. We call on the Nigerian press to publish for the progress of Nigeria and to avoid all pressures at publishing to divide the country either on religious or ethnic lines. The print and electronic media should refrain from inciting the public against Muslim women.

WHY I CONVERTED TO ISLAM

WHY I CONVERTED TO ISLAM- Emmanuel Adebayo, All time Togolese best footballer.

I GOT 13 VALID REASONS WHY AND HOW MUSLIMS ARE LIKE JESUS (PBUH) AND TRUER FOLLOWERS OF JESUS THAN MOST CHRISTIANS BELIEVE:

1. Jesus (pbuh) taught that there is only One God and Only God should be worshipped as taught in Deut 6:4, Mark 12:29. Muslims also believe this as taught in the Qur'an verse 4:171.

2. Jesus (pbuh) didn't eat pork as taught in Leviticus 11:7, and neither do Muslims as taught in the Qur'an verse 6:145.

3. Jesus (pbuh) greeted with the words "As-salaam alaikum" (Peace be with you), in John 20:21. Muslims also greet each other this way.

4. Jesus (pbuh) always said "God Willing" (inshallah), Muslims say this too before doing anything as taught in the Qur'an verses 18:23-24.

5. Jesus (pbuh) washed his face, hands, and feet before praying. The Muslims do the same.

6. Jesus (pbuh) and other prophets of the Bible prayed with their head to the ground see (Matthew26:39). Muslims do too as taught in the Qur'an verse 3:43.

7. Jesus (pbuh) had a beard and wore a throbe. It is Sunnah for Muslim men to do the same.

8. Jesus (pbuh) followed the law and believed in all the prophets, see (Matthew 5:17). Muslims do too as taught in the Qur'an verses 3:84, and 2:285.

9. Jesus' mother Maryam (pbuh) dressed modestly by fully covering her body and wearing a headscarf (hijab) as found in 1 Timothy 2:9, Genesis 24:64-65, and Corinthians 11:6. Muslim women modestly dress the same as taught in the Qur'an verse 33:59.

10. Jesus (pbuh) and other prophets of the Bible fasted up to 40 days see (Exodus 34:28, Daniel 10:2-6, 1Kings 19:8, and Matthew 4:1. Muslims do so also during the month of Ramadan. Muslims are required to fast the full obligatory 30 days (see Qur'an 2:183), and others take it a step further by fasting an additional 6 days to increase their rewards.

11. Jesus (pbuh) taught to say "Peace to this house" when entering it see (Luke 10:5), and to also greet the people in the house with "peace be unto you". Muslims do exactly what Jesus did and taught. When we enter our homes and the homes of others we say "Bismillah" and also greet with "as salaamu alaikum" (peace be upon you) as taught in the Qur'an verse 24:61.

12. Jesus (pbuh) was circumcised. Circumcision is 1 of the 5 fitrah in Islam, so Muslim men are required to be circumcised. According to the Bible in Luke 2:21, Jesus was eight days old when he was circumcised. In the Torah, Allah/God stated to the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) that it is an "Everlasting covenant" (see Genesis 17:13). In the Qur'an verse 16:123 Muslims are required to follow the religion of Abraham. The Prophet Muhammad (saws) said, "The Prophet Abraham circumcised himself when he was eighty years old." (see Sahih hadith Bukhari, Muslim, and Ahmad).

13. Jesus (pbuh) spoke aramaic and called God "Elah", which is pronounced the same as "Allah". Aramaic is an ancient, Biblical language. It is one of the Semitic languages that also include Hebrew, Arabic, Ethiopic and the ancient Assyrian and Babylonian language of Akkadian. The Aramaic "Elah" and the Arabic "Allah" are the same. The Aramaic "Elah" is derived from the Arabic "Allah", and it means "GOD". "Allah" in Arabic also means "GOD", the Supreme GOD Almighty. You can easily see the similarity in their pronunciation so this concludes that the God of Jesus is also the God of the Muslims, of all mankind, and all that exist.
Now tell me who is the real follower of Jesus (pbuh)? Obviously Muslims. Now I believe am a true follower of Jesus PBUH.

‘Oldest’ Quran fragments found by British university

By Staff writer | Al Arabiya News
Wednesday, 22 July 2015
Manuscript fragments of the Holy Quran dating back at least 1,370 years have been found among the archives of the British higher education establishment, the University of Birmingham.

The pages of the Muslim holy text, identified to have been written in an early form of Arabic, were part of a collection brought back to Britain from Iraq in the 1920s, but had remained unrecognized in the university library for almost a century, reported the BBC.

Radiocarbon dating indicated that the fragments, which are written on goat or sheepskin, allegedly come from between the years 568 and 645.

The tests, which have an accuracy probability of more than 95%, were carried out by the Oxford University Radiocarbon Accelerator Unit and showed that the fragments were among the oldest surviving texts of the Koran.

“They could well take us back to within a few years of the actual founding of Islam,” University of Birmingham professor of Christianity and Islam, David Thomas told the BBC.

Prof Thomas also stated that the dating of the Birmingham folios would mean that it was quite possible that the person who had written them would have been alive at the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Tradition dictates that the Prophet Muhammad received the revelations that would eventually form the Koran between 610 and 632, and many scholars believe that portions of the holy text were written down separately on palm leaves, parchment, or the shoulder bones of camels, before being collected into a complete edition around 650.

Dr Muhammad Isa Waley who is the British Library's expert on such manuscripts, said this discovery would make Muslims "rejoice".

ZAKATUL FITR

Zakat Al Fitr SIMPLIFIED

Do you know that Zakat al fitr...?!

* Is the charity given to the poor at the end of the fasting of holy month of Ramadan.

* It is a duty which is 'wajib' (compulsory) and required of every Muslim, male or female, young or adult, slave or freeman as long as he/she has the means to do so (meaning having more food (or in kind) than what he/she and his/her household will need for a day).

* Is to provide for the poor with a means with which to celebrate the festival of 'eid al fitr' along the rest of the Muslims and a token of thankfulness to Allah for having enabled him or her to observed obligatory fast.

* Promotes circulation of wealth and develop bonds of brotherhood, love and trains those who have to be generous to those who do not have within Islamic society.

* If you miss paying it before eid al fitr without good reason you have sinned and you cannot make it up but 'sadaqah'.

* It becomes obligatory from last day of Ramadan or 2 days before eid prayer.
* It is a saa' (4 double handfuls) of food, grain or dried fruits... per head of each member of the family by the head of the household (regardless of different in income, and new born baby last minute of last day of Ramadan should be included).

Did you know that…?!
* Your Ramadan fasting will be hanging between earth and heaven till you pay zakat al fitr.

* Zakat al fitr purify you from your indecent act, speech... while fasting that will reduce your rewards.

* Zakat al fitr' is acceptable for those who give it out before the eid al fitr prayer but it is 'sadaqah' for those who pays it after eid prayer.

* You will give your zakat al fitr out where you are, during eid not your home town and somebody can do it on your behalf and to give it out in Umrah is more rewardable.

* Zakat al fitr in cash is not recommended by Allah, Prophet S.A.W., Sahaba R.A., Jurists. We have 'dinar' and 'dirham' during life time of Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wasalam and neither he nor his companions used cash to pay zakat al fitr. Also, Zakat alfitr is an Ibadan we should not try and change its form if we want reward from Allah. Note: You can add cash as sadaqah to the food stuff you giving out but is not wajib.

* Beneficiaries of zakat al fitr are; the poor and the needy (regardless of whether they are your relatives in as much their feeding is not 'wajib' on you), collectors of zakat, in reconciling of heart of non-Muslims, freeing slaves, debtors, in Allah's cause and the travellers may be part of them.

Oh Muslim! Give zakat al fitr out of food stuff you will be happy to collect if you are in the position of the poor. “O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy”. (Q2:267)
